Discover two gems of southern Alicante on a tour that combines history, nature, heritage, and fishing tradition.
🌴 Elche – World Heritage Site
We start the day in Elche, a city with double recognition by UNESCO:
- Its thousand-year-old Palm Grove, the largest in Europe.
- The famous Misteri d’Elx, a living tradition.
We will tour its Historic Center with stops at the Basilica of Santa María and the Altamira Palace, and discover the remains of the ancient Arab medina.
🌊 Santa Pola – Maritime Tradition and Nature
From inland, we head towards the sea, to the ancient Roman Portus Ilicitanus, today Santa Pola.
We will enjoy a panoramic tour of:
- Las Salinas (The Salt Flats) and their flamingos.
- Coastal viewpoints of Cap de l’Aljub.
You will learn about the town’s maritime history, its castle-fortress, and its importance as an ecological enclave.
