The Alicante Ensanche represents the bourgeois heart of the city. Its grid layout, inspired by Barcelona’s famous Cerdá Plan, allowed for the transformation of a medieval structure into a modern, elegant, and luminous city. This tour invites you to explore Alicante’s westward growth following the demolition of its walls, focusing on the luxury, commerce, and architecture of the 19th and 20th centuries.
